The University of Arkansas women’s soccer team jump-started their NCAA tournament journey with a 4-0 victory over Oklahoma State on Friday, November 15, at Razorback Field. The match saw Razorback control from start to finish, showcasing offensive firepower and defensive
strength. Senior forward Sophia Aragon, number 33, highlighted the team’s growth and dynamic energy.
“I think it’s the continuous idea of expecting more from ourselves,” Aragon said. “The energy is incredible on this team, and it evolves every single day, every single week.” With a roster of 35 talented players, the Razorbacks have depth in every position, giving them a competitive edge in the tournament. With strong leadership, a unified team spirit, and a focus on continual growth, the Razorbacks were poised for an exciting postseason as they look to add another chapter to the program’s legacy. The Hogs opened the 2024 season at Razorback Field for just the third time since 2016, facing new challenges like their first-ever matchups against Western Kentucky and Gonzaga. “This season has been an incredible journey, and I am honored to be a part of it,” said sophomore defender Ella Riley, number 23. “I’m most excited to see how far we go and possibly make Razorback Soccer history!
