FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – It’s fall at the University of Arkansas – a time when pumpkin spice hits the campus Starbucks and midterms loom on the horizon. Students share their favorite things about autumn on the hill.
Rylie Gebhart, a senior sports management major, marvels at the vibrant colors that mark the trees across campus, capturing the essence of fall in the Ozarks.
“When the leaves on the trees change colors, it’s just so beautiful over campus,” Gebhart said.
For many students, the season’s cool yet comfortable weather is a welcome relief. The struggle of walking to class on a hilly campus in the summer heat is an experience shared by most students during the start of the semester.
William Vint, a campus bookstore employee, enjoys the refreshing change in
temperature. “The thing I like about the fall here is the weather changing and getting a little bit cooler outside but not too cold,” Vint said. “Football also comes along with the fall time… Woo Pig.”
Junior Cara Cox views campus during the autumn months as a fashion runway. Cox said that she believes fall fashion is superior to other seasons fashion.
“I enjoy being able to wear beanies and cute coats while walking to class because the weather is nice and crisp,” Cox said.
