From hog subway tile to signed merchandise, the “Hog Houses” are the perfect fit for any devoted Razorback fans. Dan and Tracy Richey have been hosting thousands of Hog fans from across the country for over 30 years. The Richeys said they wish to host their three daughters’ families for future tailgate traditions.

The Richeys purchased their first “Hog House” over 30 years ago. “We ended up purchasing the home(s) because it was always so hard to find hotels back then,” Dan Richey said. However, about 15 years ago, the original “Hog House” was sold to a local townhouse company. To keep the legacy alive, the Richeys decided to expand the “Hog House family.”

Each of the three homes represents separate themes. The first home, “Razorback Retreat,” features an array of vintage Hog merchandise that only the most diehard Hog fans would know of. To fit out each of the homes, the Richeys have spent years scouring thrift stores, Facebook Marketplace and auctions to expand their growing collection.

The other two houses, the “SEC House” and the “Hog House,” are suited with their own sets of décors. The “Hog House” is the largest of the three properties suited specifically for a large group of fans. It provides a comforting space for a post-game celebration or a pre-game party.

The “SEC House,” in particular, features murals by local artists scattered throughout the home. Each of the three bedrooms is dedicated to various SEC rivalries to promote other cherished fandoms, keeping the Razorbacks as the primary focus.

Minutes away from campus, decked out to the nines, the Hog Houses further provides the perfect atmosphere for Razorbacks to feel right at home with their favorite team while promoting the notion that “Fayetteville is our happy place.”
